TOKYO, July 27 — Honda will unveil its next-generation CR-V crossover at the upcoming Paris Motor Show (Mondial de l’Automobile de Paris), which will be held in the French capital from September 29 to October 14.

The design is part-SUV, part-sedan, the lines are aggressive and sporty, and the LED lighting system has been powered up. Passengers can expect more room inside the car — for themselves and their luggage.

For the first time, Honda will sell two versions of its CR-V, front wheel drive and all wheel drive, and two types of engine (2L for the gas version and 2.2L for the diesel one) are available. The carmaker also announced a drop in CO2 emissions of around 10 percent.

The carmaker’s fourth generation CR-V since launching the line in 1995 will include plenty of technology to aid the driver, such as a speed and spacing regulator, a crash prevention system integrated with the brakes, a system that keeps the vehicle in its lane and an emergency stop system.

The vehicle is set to go on sale starting in the fall, following the Paris Motor Show. — AFP/Relaxnews
